A “kebab” is a skewer of meat an vegetables that’s cooked on a grill. This healthy combination of protein and veggies originated in the Middle East and can be adjusted to fit anyone’s tastes or dietary needs.
This Steak Kebab recipe requires no marinade. That means there’s no need to plan ahead. Just chop your meat and veggies, slide them on skewers, and pop them on the grill for a quick and hearty meal.
The veggie and steak combination here is perfectly proportioned to have the same cook time so they both come off the grill perfectly cooked every time.
Ingredients You’ll Need To Make Steak Kebabs…
- strip steak
- bell peppers*
- red onion
- olive oil
- steak seasoning**
- butter***
- garlic powder
*Use red, yellow, orange or green peppers depending on your preference
**Use store-bought or my Homemade Steak Seasoning
***Dairy-free butter can be substituted for regular
How To Make Steak Kebabs On The Grill…
- Heat grill to medium high heat (about 375 degrees)Cut steak, peppers and onions into bite sized pieces
- Thread onto 4 skewers (if skewers are wood be sure to soak for 10 minutes first)
- Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with seasoning
- Place steak on grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes then flip and cook another 4-5 minutes until veggies are crisp tender
- Melt butter and stir in garlic powder
- Brush over cooked kebabs right after removing from grill
Trim extra fat from steak as needed. Use a leaner sirloin if preferred.
